Spanish-speaking country of your choice.

B. Introduction
For this writing activity, you are a travel writer who went on a 3-day assignment to a capital city
of a Spanish-speaking country. You have just returned home and now need to post a 75-word
blog for each day’s experiences (total of 225 words). You are writing about past events so you
will use the preterite/imperfect and the subjunctive to make recommendations. Don’t forget to
include 1-2 images in each blog to inspire all of your followers.
C. Assignment Steps
a. Brainstorm a list of vocabulary from the chapter 6 (p. 166-167) that you could
use to talk about your travel experiences.
b. Research the official tourism website for real/accurate information about your
destination (in Spanish). Don’t forget to cite your sources. Here are a few
examples of capital city tourism websites:
i. https://www.esmadrid.com/
ii. http://www.cuba.travel/destinos/la-habana
iii. https://turismo.buenosaires.gob.ar/es
iv. http://www.santiagocapital.cl/
v. https://www.visitmexico.com/en/main-destinations/mexico-city
c. Select several activities/experiences for each day, and use the following
questions as a guide to write each day’s 75-word blog entry (total of 3). Feel free
to be creative in the formatting of your blog and don’t forget to include images:
i. ¿A qué ciudad fuiste y cómo llegaste?
ii. ¿Con quién fuiste?
iii. ¿En qué hotel te quedaste?
iv. ¿Qué lugares históricos/culturales visitaste?
v. ¿Qué otras actividades de interés hiciste en tu viaje?

d. Final thoughts: At the end of your blog write a few sentences (4-5) to your
followers. Make some recommendations to your readers/family/friends. (Use
the subjunctive, p. 172-173). Here are a few prompts to help you with the
subjunctive, but do not limit yourself to just these:
