Finance for Business Apple Stock valuation & Career Goals Discussion Write a 1-2 page report for discussion with the professor on the topics below. Develop or update your resume and meet with the professor between March 2 and March 13 to discuss this report and your resume. Start a LinkedIn page if you do not already have one, before you meet with the professor.
Describe your career goals and discuss your personal strengths and weaknesses with respect to your goals.
Discuss where you expect to be (career-wise) in five years and the steps you intend to take to accomplish this goal.
2. Stock Valuation Report
International students usually do not have permission to work in the US and will have difficulty finding an internship. (However, if you do find an acceptable internship, we can usually get permission for you to work and get paid). Therefore, international students are allowed to complete a comprehensive stock valuation project to meet the requirements for this course. The project must be written in your own words and not copied from the internet or other sources without citation. Use footnotes to provide proper citations for any work copied from another source. You should then include all citations at the end of the paper in the References section. Projects not written in the students own words where sources are not cited will receive a failing grade. The completed project is due by April 24, 2020.
The project is described in detail on the syllabus for international students. Be sure to follow the instructions carefully.
Since the school is shut down due to the COVID-19 outbreak, you will not be able to use Bloomberg. Instead use Yahoo Finance as follows:
Download the Balance Sheet and the Income Statement from yahoo finance’s Financials tab.
Price and Dividends data may be downloaded from yahoo finance’s Historical Data tab.
Number of Shares Outstanding data may be downloaded from yahoo finance’s Statistics tab.
