I need support with this History question so I can learn better.
Respond to one vase. Please clearly state which one you are discussing.
1. 450-400 BC
This vase shows a man banging on the door while a woman inside considers opening it. Discuss either the woman or the man. Where is the artist successful in showing the body in space, and where are there still problems? (This vase is not complete–the part where the man’s lower legs should be has been repaired with black fill.)

According to the Met,
The scene on the obverse of this bell-krater depicts the return of Persephone to her mother, the goddess Demeter. At the left,
Persephone steps up from Hades through a cleft in the ground, as
Hermes, messenger of the gods, stands back. The goddess
Hekate… occupies the center of the vase holding two flaming torches with which she illuminates Persephone’s nighttime journey from the Underworld. Lastly, at the far right stands
Demeter.
Is the painter completely successful in conveying the complex pose of each figure? Below is an amphora in the Met, dating to about 490. Is the painter completely successful in conveying the complex pose of the satyr? The bearded man? The dancing youth? This vase shows a parade of gods returning to Olympus, accompanied by satyrs. Focus just on the three figures under the handle: the satyr who’s ducking out from under the handle, the one standing, or Dionysios (holding the grapes). Discuss just one of the three. Where is the artist successful in showing the body in space, and where are there still problems?
