Before writing: Look through the projects you have completed in English 122. Consider what you have attempted, what you have accomplished, and what you still need to work on as you continue to write in school and in other writing and research courses.
Drafting: Choose 4-5course goals listed on the “Goals &Objectives”, and discuss your work and how it did/did not reach eachof those goals. Support your discussion using examples from your writing, showing what writing goals you have mastered, what writing strategies you have practiced and improved, and/or what you have identified as elements you need to continue to practice or develop.You may cite your own work, or refer back to and paraphrase it, so dont be afraid to refer to specific parts of your assignments. (I would highly recommend it! A Works Cited page is not required for this reflection)

Length: Minimum 1,000 words, double-spaced, Times New Roman font, and an MLA header/page numbers should be used. Please format your paper this way or you will lose points for formatting.
Audience: A representative of the English Department. You are attempting to persuade this person that you are ready to move pastEnglish 108 because 1) you have practiced and refined several of the elements listed on the 108 Goals statement and 2) you are critically aware of your own writing abilities and aware of what writing strategies you need to continue to develop.
Grading Criteria:
1. Clearly uses several elements from the ENG 108″Goals & Objectives”as main points. Simply writing about your papers will not earn you any points. Please use the “Goals & Objectives as the basis for your discussion.
2. Provides convincing support, using details and examples from the writing YOU have done in the course.
Notes:
You should quote or paraphrase information from your previous papers in the reflection.
Focus on several of the elements on the Goals statement, rather than trying to discuss all of the elements.
It is fine to discuss not only what you have successfully accomplished but also what you struggle to do and need to continue to practice.
