How the Respective Political Economic School of Thought Perceives the Issue and Consider Current Policies Essay For this topic in your initial post, summarize how the respective political economic school of thought perceives the issue (chosen from one of the issues from Chapters 7-9) and consider current policies (not limited to the United States BUT you must be able to cite a source in all cases) within Lowi’s typology (distributive, regulatory, self-regulatory, and distributive). List one policy for each category although if you cannot think of a self-regulatory policy that is fine. Remember that the policies listed MUST be consistent with the political economic theory. NOTE: Since the typology was developed using modern liberal/conservative policies for the most part you could include contemporary policies that radicalism would be opposed to but you would need to clarify why. You must also reply to at least one of your peers’ posts with two suggestions of other policies that could fit within two different categories of Lowi’s typology (at least 2 replies per discussion needed for (but does not guarantee) full credit but it cannot be repeats of the same posts), providing reasons (and cites) as to why each respective policy would fit within the policy classification as well as replying to your peers’ responses to your initial post and whether you agree with their suggestions and why.
