Patient Scenario; Signs & Symptoms- Create a patient
scenario based upon the expected presentation of a
patient with the assigned diagnosis.
Pathophysiology- provide a detailed description of the
science behind the patient’s medical diagnosis. This
should include the rationale behind the signs and
symptoms that are anticipated and detailed in the
scenario.
Diagnostic testing- describe 5 tests expected to be
completed for a patient with the assigned medical
diagnosis. Include the anticipated results and rationale for
the testing.
Medications- describe minimum of 3 medications, up to 5
medications that would be used for the diagnosis. Include
the generic and trade names, the classification,
indications, and nursing considerations for all medications.
Three Nursing Diagnosis each with short term goal,
interventions (active statements; no limitation of number),
and rationale for interventions. The first diagnosis is the
priority diagnosis for the disease. Do not use “risk for”
diagnoses.
Presentation: Paper is professionally prepared, following
APA 7th ed. guidelines.
