Give an example of a time that you had a conversation with someone in which their nonverbal communication gave a different message than their verbal communication. Which message left a stronger impression on you? How did the nonverbal messages impact your conversation?
Find a video clip (perhaps from a TV show or movie that you have seen recently) that shows someone using nonverbal communication really clearly fulfilling one of the six functions of nonverbal communication that you read about. Share a link to the clip or describe the scene. Then, explain how the nonverbal communication in that scene fulfills one of the functions and explain how that impacted the interaction.
