Basic Concepts of Panel Discussions
Definition
A panel discussion is a specific format used in a meeting, conference, or convention. It is
a live or virtual discussion about a particular topic amongst a selected group of panelists who share differing
perspectives in front of a broad audience.
Purpose
The purpose of a panel discussion is to bring together top talent in one area so that a group of experts can share
and build upon each other’s experience.

Discussion Board Assignment
For this discussion board, first:
You will visualize you in a panel discussion formulating questions you would ask the presenters, and you will
also explain why you chose those questions.
Secondly, in this discussion board, you will write about what type of information you would seek at that panel
and why.
To post an informative discussion, and a post that your classmates may learn from it, I suggest you search the
Internet for real panel discussions, so you will have an idea on how the audience formulate their questions.
Remember, it is not productive to copy those ideas. In this course, the primary purpose and my target are to
allow you to create your tools based on what you have available online or elsewhere.
Keep in mind that when you practice selecting and creating your strategy, there are thousands of information
will pop up while you are searching. Social media and marketing are trending, and new updates come out
regularly! Refrain from considering web pages shared before 2018. Seek for the most updated and reliable
websites.

conferences, and what each these professional events may offer to you in terms of gaining knowledge. It explains
what marketing event is, benefits of event marketing, and how events help your marketing strategies for your

This site https://learn.g2.com/types-event-marketing offers you tips on how to plan an event, shows what is
trending as far as valued topics to your costumers, networking sessions and types, etc. This is to get you
started! Level (i.e., beginner or advance) and target (e.g., food industry, automobile market) will define which
social media websites and networks may work for you.
This course is an opportunity for you to learn some concepts and acquire the essential tools. Click on
