DVC Crime Prevention and Rehabilitation Systematic Reviews Discussion Step 1: Respond to the Questions

Once you have had an opportunity to read Chapter 10, it is time to answer the below questions:

To what extent do you believe that treatment and rehabilitation should be provided to incarcerated criminals?
For offenders who have a drug addiction problem, do you believe that prison is the appropriate solution? What factors need to be considered? What do you believe is the most appropriate sentence for someone who has a history of drug addiction?
Step 2: Student-to-Student Replies

Give feedback on your peers responses to the above questions. For the student-to-student replies, choose two fellow students who do not yet have two replies. If the fellow student already has two replies, try and choose a different student or wait for other responses if you can. If your timing just happens to overlap with another person who has done the same reply, you can leave the reply, but please complete another so that we make sure everyone has two replies!

Give a specific points of praise or feedback. What did you like about their point of view or response? What stood out to you in that response? I would encourage you to ask a follow up question to your students to keep the conversation going. (Approx. 40-50 words)
