Worldwide Enterprises: Company Database
As an employee of Worldwide Enterprises, you’ve been asked to manage the company’s
databases. A lot of employee information is already in the database, but the company needs a
better way to sort the data and run reports. That’s where you come in.
Open the Worldwide Enterprises Employee Database Access file (.accdb) and save it to your
computer.
Once you have saved the database file, open it and complete each of the following tasks.
Creating Queries and Reports
1. Create and save the three queries indicated in the table below.

2. Create a report based on the Employee Hire Date query. Use all the fields in creating the
report.
3. Use the Report Wizard to create the report. Choose an appropriate layout and formatting.
4. Save the report as Employees by Department.
Submitting the Database
When you are finished, save and submit the database in the Unit 3: Access Exam area in
Blackboard.
