competency for making their own healthcare decisions.

Remember this is a nursing paper so be sure you focus on the nursing aspects of

Main nursing ethical framework related to the dilemma:
Here you will focus on the specific nursing issues related to the dilemma. Does the
dilemma go against the ANA Code of Ethics? Does the dilemma cause moral distress?
What about the specific ethical principles: Beneficence, Non-maleficence, Fidelity,
Veracity, etc.? Are there nursing peer issues related to the dilemma? Is the nurse
supported or not in the situation? Are there policies that should be followed and aren’t?
The nurse will make a consult to the Ethics Committee.

Look at your employer’s policy on making a referral to the ethics committee.
Briefly explain what the process is to refer to the ethics committee. What steps
