LISTENING PROJECT: MELODY
1
Music Melody
The melody had a few peaks, and the Instrumentalist’s range is wide. The end of
the piece is a lot stronger than the opening, and the beat is somewhat quicker than the opening.
The instruments rhyme and resonates with the Instrumentalist’s delicateness. And after that,
getting stronger as the melody nears the end. I found that the melody would probably fall under
conjunct because of it fundamentally remaining in the tenor territory. The variety in this tune
is expansive, goes from quick rhythm to slow and to and fro. It goes from the saxophone to the
keyboard, from moderately slow and even to allegro. This would likewise fall into the ternary
structure because of it coming back to the primary structure from the earliest starting point.
