BIO1302 Columbia Southern University Human Impact on Climate Change PPT 1.What everyday activity or product have you chosen to present? Why did you choose this activity or product? Why is it important? 2.Connect the activity/product to its impact on the environment and climate change. How does doing the activity or making the product natural resources, disrupt habitat, impact wildlife or other effects on the environment? 3.Report data and statistics, with references, on how this activity/product effects the environment. 4.What can people do to decrease the activity/product’s impact on the environment? Be sure to follow the formatting and guidelines provided below: ?Include at least three visual aids. ?Include three reliable references, including the source attached. ? Use bulleted information on slides (five lines or fewer). ? Include details in the speaker notes (more information that you would say during an actual presentation). ? Include a separate title slide and separate reference slide. ? Use an appropriate font and background. ? Include 11 slides (not counting your title slide and reference slide). ? Use correct APA format for references and citations, and use correct grammar and spelling. ?Upload the presentation as a .ppt or .pptx file. 2019 APR 1 (VerticalNews) — By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Global Warming Focus — A new study on Climate Change is now
available. According to news originating from New Haven, Connecticut, by VerticalNews correspondents, research stated, “Growing consumption
of single-use bottled water has received criticism due to potentially adverse environmental outcomes. Networks of public-sphere water delivery
stations have been proposed as a sustainable alternative for water consumption on-the-go, yet the life-cycle impacts of such stations are poorly
understood.”
Financial support for this research came from National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship.
Our news journalists obtained a quote from the research from Yale University, “Here we evaluate the potential cumulative energy demand and
climate change impacts of water delivered from a filtered water refill station under various consumption scenarios and provide a comparison to
published results for bottled water. Using a hybrid life-cycle analysis framework employing physical and economic data, we model the water
station’s performance in four locations: Tel-Aviv, Israel; Miami Beach, Florida, USA; London, UK; and Shanghai, China. We find that the climate
change impact of the station is two to six times lower than those of bottled water and that use phase electricity is the most influential factor in
determining the station’s environmental impact.”
According to the news editors, the research concluded: “We provide additional observations related to scaling up such a system and
recommendations to realize further gains in eco-efficiency.”
