Advertising Campaign And Relationship to The Target Markets Values Project The first step in this project is to decide what new product your group will create. After the product is chosen, the group should discuss which market will be targeted using the Small Group Discussion Board. Each group member should submit his or her own ideas, but the target market should be chosen by consensus. The team should combine each member’s contributions, and create the new product and target market.

Your team needs to choose a name for the product, create a brand, and justify both of them by explaining their relationship to the target market’s values, lifestyles, and attitudes. An explanation of how these concepts were brought into the decision should be included in the final submission.

In addition to selecting the target market, brand name, and image, the group should make recommendations for the brand’s packaging and advertising campaign.

The packaging decision can be made using ideas from the earlier packaging assignment but with the group’s consensus and refinements.

Individual Portion

For the individual portion of the Group Project, you will prepare a presentation of 10–12 PowerPoint slides (body of presentation) with in-depth speaker notes to develop an advertising campaign for the product. The campaign will be broken down into 2 parts: The explanation and justification for the advertising campaign and the ad itself. The following information should be included in the presentation:

The target market chosen for the new product and an explanation
The product name with reasons why it was chosen based upon the target market
The packaging description and how it will appeal to the target market
A detailed description of the advertising campaign
A creative ad slogan
An explanation of the consumer behavior motivation behind the ad and slogan

As for the advertising itself, it is not necessary to draw an ad, but you should include the following:

Types of media used in the campaign (e.g., TV, print, Internet, etc.)
A slogan and a general theme
Reasons for choosing the media, slogan, and theme based on consumer behavior principles
An explanation of how the advertisement will reach the target consumer in terms of motivational or persuasion techniques outlined in the course

Group Portion

The group portion of this project will consist of a report of 6–8 pages (body of report) in which you will discuss all of the recommendations and ideas that went into creating a new product. The group should also come to a consensus on which advertising campaign, slogan, and general theme was more persuasive and motivational. The report should also include the following:

Describe all recommendations and ideas that went into creating a new product.
Explain how and why the group chose the product.
Identify the consensus on the target market.
Give the product’s name and why it was chosen based upon the target market.
Explain how the group came up with the name of the product.
Identify the group consensus on which advertising campaign, slogan, and general theme was more persuasive and motivational, and why.
Identify what would you change, and why.
Give a detailed description of your group’s final advertising campaign, slogan, and general theme.
Explain the packaging design and how it will appeal to the target market.
Identify what types of media will be used in the campaign.
Explain how the advertising will reach the target consumer in terms of motivational or persuasive techniques outlined in the course.

Each student should upload his or her individual Portion of 10–12 PowerPoint slides (body of presentation) with in-depth speaker notes.

A member of the team must also submit the group portion (6–8-page report).
