This week you’ll be working on your rough draft for a narrative short story. Yes, you have written one already this year. However, to make sure your prepare for 10th grade, knowing how to use the elements of literature , and how structure a short story with great ideas with using good use of language we are going to write another short story. Next week, you will edit your rough draft with a peer or parent. Ways which you can do this-Zoom with your friend, share your google docs with peer, have your parents look at it.
Assignment
1. Set up google docs. MLA format, Tittle your document Rough draft Short Story 2.
2. Use a plot diagram (page 97) to organize your writing (yes, it’s required). You may use your own graphic organizer, just make sure it has all the components. You will turn this in with your final draft.
3. Directions for short story:
Write a new original short story from real or imagined experiences or events. Your story must include a variety of narrative techniques- such as foreshadowing, point of view, figurative language, imagery, symbolism, and/or irony-as well as effective details and a well-structured sequence of events.

Short Story should not be longer than 3 pages.
