Help me study for my History class. I’m stuck and don’t understand.

This week’s two discussion forum questions are as follows:

Question 1. After reading the textbook passages and watching the video clips on the Civil Rights Movement, please describe what you feel are the 2 most important accomplishments of the Civil Rights Movement. What do you think are the most important legacies of the Civil Rights Movement, and in your opinion, how did this historical period permanently alter life in America? Question 2. Historians have argued that the Civil Rights Movement was a development that vastly expanded the powers of the federal government. Based on your knowledge of the new court case decisions and laws created from the Civil Rights Movement, explain how exactly the Civil Rights Movement expanded the powers and scope of the federal government. In other words, how do you think the creation and enforcement of the new civil rights laws necessitate the expansion of the federal government’s size and powers? (6+ sentences). (10 points)
