Need help with my English question – I’m studying for my class.

Please watch these videos below which discuss childhood trauma and how that impacts success in education. These videos are captioned, just press the CC button if the captions don’t immediately show up when you start the video. I have also included the typed transcript for the two TED talks.

Then, answer the following questions in journal form:

1. What did you learn from the videos about the relationship between childhood trauma and one’s ability to learn?
2. What were your reactions as you watched? Were you surprised? Did you find yourself agreeing or disagreeing?
3. Can you connect something from your own childhood that could be considered traumatic and could therefore have become a barrier to your ability to learn? What happened? (Share only as much as you are comfortable sharing.)
