Can you help me understand this History question?

hello I need two different discussions answered in 5-7 sentences. These are the directions.:)

Herodotus, one of the first historians in history (an issue I will address in lecture) gives his account here of Persian culture. Read this section closely and discuss one cultural practice of the Persians that he approves of and one that he does not. Why do you think he feels this way about these practices?

Discussion – One Thousand and One Nights

How would you characterize the people in these three particular stories from One Thousand and One Nights? Do any themes (class, gender, social, religious, etc.) emerge in the stories? Why do you think that is? What cultural norms are contributing to these themes?
