This week, we covered Estimating Job Costs. Chapter 9 Complete the Exercise #2. You will breakdown an assembly and cost out each item and the labor costs. With those numbers, you will then give be able to give a unit price (per foot, per sq ft, etc) estimate. For example: I could breakdown the cost of a sidewalk. . . the cost of grading and forming, the cost of the concrete, and the cost of pouring/finishing and clean-up. Don’t forget to include Overhead and Profit in the final price. With those numbers, I can estimate that the cost of a sidewalk is $4.25 per square foot.
