Of course it is impossible to visit the place. Please use sources from the internet. Articles, Books, main website etc. Make sure to use MLA format and site all sources used. 12 point font and Times New Roman. Please be very detailed.
Locate the oldest, or near-oldest house of worship where you live. (I am looking for the oldest building, not the oldest congregation.) Visit it. Look for columns, domes, vaults, and arches. Study the outside. Go inside. Gathered printed and electronic information about it. Learn its history from publications and from people, including the history of its interior decorations. Write a -two-page essay in which you describe what you learned and tell some or all of its story to the rest of the class.
These essays need not be completely verbal. Use pictures and graphics. Take photographs when you visit. You will also be able to locate lots of pictures in books, brochures, and websites about these buildings because the story of a building is often better conveyed through images than through written text.
