1. Pages 141 through 163 (in, reviewed in detail the Guidelines for Developing Successful Therapeutic Relationships With Clients With Co-Occurring Disorders.
   • Name two guidelines that you found particularly meaningful. Please explain why you believe they would be clinically meaningful (this can be found in a table on page 142; each guideline is elaborated on within the chapter).
2. Page 14 shows a graphic of the stages of change (Exhibit 1.3). Choose a stage of change and read the description on pages 15-16. Describe what it would be like to work with a client who is identified as being in this stage of change. As a reference, please use Exhibit 2.3 on page 25 for additional assistance.
