I’m studying for my History class and need an explanation.

1.) The 1950’s-2010’s saw the emergence of music as a tool to convey public sentiment. Discuss the music we listened to and how the songs reflected societal moods. Who were the major artists? What messages were they conveying? How did the actual sound of the music reflect their target audience and what did their lyrics convey? Can we trust them as an accurate representation of the American identity? Why or why not? (Use at least 2 songs in answer: Born In The USA by Bruce Springsteen, Smells Like Teen Spirit by Nirvana, The Man by Taylor Swift)

2.) How does the Reagan Revolution represent a reaction and response to the changes and upheavals in American society during the 1960s era? How do we see these reactions manifesting today? (Use at least one assigned primary source in answer)
