I’m working on a Social Science exercise and need support.

You are to type a 2-3 page (double spaced; Times Roman Font) review of Evicted: Poverty and Profit in the American City, by Matthew Desmond. As noted above, there are a number of approaches to critically evaluating books. For this review, I expect that you will draw on what we have learned in class and what you learned from the book about Henrietta Lacks.

Here is a suggested outline:

(1) Briefly Summarize the book. Tell the reader what you read.

(2) Describe what was important, and why. If you want to, describe parts that were not valuable, and why.

(3) Draw on The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks and information you have learned from class to evaluate the significance of the book. Is the book important or unimportant, and why? What does the book contribute to our understanding of society?

Throughout the above, be sure to provide the occasional example. You want to make sure that you show the instructor that you did read the book.
