PART B

Virtual Museum Exhibition 10%

Your virtual museum must be created using the following software. https://www.artsteps.com/

You will be provided with two lessons in class to work on your virtual museum with the guidance of your

teacher. You will also be shown a sample virtual museum exhibition during class to help you.

Your virtual museum exhibition must include at least 15 sources. These should consist of mainly primary

sources. Your evidence must be accompanied by historical information which informs the viewer about the

exhibit. Your sources can be written, visual or objects (artefacts)

Each source will also require an interactive placard. You must include the following information next to your

source.

Museum Brochure 10%

You need to create a tri fold brochure to notify the citizens of Sydney of your new and upcoming exhibition

at the Sydney Museum on the Convict Era.

You can use Microsoft publisher or a software of your own choice to create a tri fold brochure. A sample

brochure will be provided by your class teacher to assist with development of your ideas. In the creation of

your brochure you must consider the following

colour, font, text size, photographs, images, layout,

language, tone and your audience.

Your brochure must include the following information:

? A title

? Information on the location

–

map and directions

? The dates of the exhibition

? The cost of entry

? Details on exhibition highlights and other upcoming exhibitions

Referencing

Proposal

–

Reference the primary and secondary sources that you have selected.

Museum Exhibit

–

Include an interactive link to each source indicating the reference. If you use secondary

sources within your exhibition you must provide an in text reference.

Brochure

–

You must reference any images, maps or secondary source information within the brochure.

Submission Requirements

1. Proposal is due Monday the 14

th

of September. You must submit a word document file to

StudySmart before midnight.

2. Virtual Museum Exhibition and Brochure are due on Friday the 30

th

of October.

You must submit the following two documents to StudySmart before midnight:

? A word document with your exhibition link.

? Your brochure in PDF format.
