Art Memoir: My Dad Telling My Family He Has Cancer

I’m trying to study for my Art & Design course and I need some help to understand this question.

Required, two to three-page paper not including title or reference page. Please use APA guidelines for paper including a title page and references and running head. If you are unfamiliar with APA please request a reference for use of APA guidelines from Instructor. Rubin, (2010) should be listed as a reference utilize the Journal articles that you feel best matches your theoretical approach. Briefly explain your ideas for this project it is ok to use first person in your paper. The art memoir art project will serve as a visual autobiographical representation of the key moments in your life and family life. The proposal should include proposed art materials and a synopsis of how art therapy would have been helpful with any previous struggles in your life. Which therapeutic approach do you think would have helped you the most Behavioral, Psychodynamic, Existential, Solution Focused, Cognitive Behavioral, Humanistic, etc.? Do you feel you would have benefited from a studio-based approach or clinical approach? The finished art project will be presented for display toward the end of the semester in a final classroom exhibit with other classmate response art being made. Approval is needed on the Art Memoir proposal and before proceeding on with the art project. The art project does not have to be esthetically pleasing, however, it needs to have a wellintegrated message showing your tie in from your proposal and paper submitted. It is important to show there is effort with this project based on your art work that is thought out to communicate your message of your struggles and how art therapy would have helped you overcome them.
