America and the South China Sea
I’m studying for my Political Science class and need an explanation.
This is my argument in order to focus on it.
The South China Sea is one of the largest, long-standing and most complex territorial disputes in the world, which involves China, Taiwan, Vietnam, Malaysia, Brunei and the Philippines. The South China Sea is a significant for its strategical crucial sea-lanes for commerce are located at, as well being an area of natural gas and oil reserves. In this context, the United States plays a crucial role as a non-claimant in the attempts to promote peaceful settlement of the disputes. However, the US has some economical, Diplomatic and Military interests in South China sea to achieve in the region as a part of its strategy.
The reason from this paper is to illustrate Why America interest in south china sea? Focus on the second decade of the 21st century. So, the paper must answer this question.

In Trump era. US grand strategy to south china sea in general and CHINA especially.
How is US grand strategy influence China strategy in the South China sea? (Your analysis here).

Geostrategic, Economic, Diplomatic, and Military. And also, for example freedom of navigation, international sea law.

Finally, conclude that what the difference between both. Did Obama government gain? Where they fail and where they succeeded and does Trump will success, by analyzing the facts. (So, what?)
