I don’t know how to handle this Psychology question and need guidance.

Review Dan Pink’s video on youtube: RSA Animate: The Surprising Truth About What Motivates Us

Part 1: Research and discuss the factors outlined in the video as intrinsic sources of motivation. How or why would finding a career/job that provides these motivators help you to increase job/life satisfaction? Research at least two different jobs and the job descriptions of the positions; you could even interview someone. What about these jobs might give you a sense of autonomy, mastery, and purpose?

Part 2: Many organizations primarily focus on providing financial incentives (compensation/commission & bonuses) for their employees. Research and discuss why money is not always the best motivator for sustaining high levels of performance and quality over time. Outline the pro’s and cons of using financial incentives. Make sure that you integrate theories (ie. Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory, Aldefer’s ERG theory, or Herzberg’s Motivation-Hygiene Theory) into your analysis and examples.

The paper should be in proper APA format. Any ideas that are not common knowledge should be cited. Any direct quotes used should be properly recognized, and the citation after a direct quote should include the page and/or paragraph number (even if it is off of a website). Use only peer-reviewed sources. Any listed reference should have at least one, in-text citation.
