I don’t understand this Psychology question and need help to study.
Rigoberta Menchu was an activist in Guatemala advocating for the rights of her indigenous community against the government. It brought world-wide attention to violations of human rights especially groups who are impoverished and marginalized. Her book which details many of the events was railroaded by a journalist who attempted to discredit her experiences claiming that certain events did not take place or were “exaggerated.”
What matters most here? The veracity of every detail in her book? The people whose lives were lost? Please examine the ethical dilemma (being truthful vs value of life principal) and apply the appropriate ethical theories (and associated philosophers) in your response including how you came to your decision.
