1 After reading the Politico article, Minnesota AG Ellison warns: ‘It’s hard to convict the police,’ and The New York Times article, Somali-American Police Officer Sentenced to 12.5 Years to Death of Minneapolis Woman, and watching the two YouTube videos, on African Killer Bees and Asian Murder Hornets, take a moment to discuss the glaring inequalities expressed in the materials provided, please make sure to discuss these materials directly in your over-arching reflection. 2. Next, write an essay about the current protests, riots and continual law enforcement brutality. You should share with the class at least one video footage that the shows power of law enforcement over its citizens. Make sure to provide a brief description along with a reflection of the footage you chose. 3. Next, write about your own personal reflection regarding the current events. 4. Finally, discuss what aspects of the class most resonated with you and assisted you in processing the complexities of inequalities and also share your own understanding of structuralized inequalities, using the materials discussed and/or covered in class? 2. After reading articles from assigned materials four: The Los Angeles Times article: How Coronavirus -“A Rich Man’s Disease”-Infected the Poor, and five: Politico: A new study shows just how badly black Americans have been hit by Covid-19, write a brief summary of each article, labeling each summary. Next, find two examples that show the juxtaposition of privilege and inequality during the coronavirus pandemic. One should show how power and privilege have aided those in the pandemic compared to those without power and privilege. The second example should show the consequences of not accessing power and privilege. After providing the links of the two materials (articles), next provide a brief summary about each article, followed by a reflection on the issue of power and privilege during the coronavirus pandemic. Please use APA in-text citations. You may introduce new materials, but from reputable sources. The reflective essay should be 200 to 400 words, but it can go over.

3. After listening to the Ted Talk: How to Understand Power and reading, Peggy McIntosh: White Privilege: Unpacking the Invisible Knapsack, provide a brief summary about the Ted Talk and reading. Also, write a brief reflection for both materials. Make sure to label your summaries and reflections. Next make two lists that show your own privilege and areas that show where you lack privilege. Please see my example below:
