I’m working on a English exercise and need support.

This is what I need for the essay

For this assignment, we will be using the NLC Common Book: The Martian by Andy Weir

Next, decide which approach you would like to take with your analysis.

For example, trace two or more of the following themes throughout the book, noting examples of where they appear in the text: isolation and abandonment; man versus nature; natural and technological science; survival; human ingenuity; risk; limits people will go to rescue a person in distress; spiritual journey; positive attitude and humor; diversity; sense of community; psychology and sociology of human beings in isolation. (These are just some of the themes in the novel; there are others if you would like to use those for your analysis).

Analyze each theme on its own, and then compare it to another theme, drawing on evidence from the text.

Conclude what these themes suggest for Watney’s survival.
