1) Please post a general summary of your understanding of Krashen’s critique of second and foreign language instruction in general. Why does he propose instruction based on “comprehensible input?” What are the main differences between his ideas and the way foreign languages are usually taught?

2) Discuss your own language learning experiences in light of Krashen’s proposals. Have you been a “successful” second language learner? Why or why not?
