Writing Assignment 1 – Social Media

We have read several articles about positive and negative effects of social media in our daily lives. Based on reading and/or personal experiences and observations, we will be writing our first draft based on the following topic.

Topic:

• Has social media and/or technology changed the way we make and meet new friends? Do you agree or disagree with this statement? Provide specific examples using the readings and/or personal examples to support your points.

What do I need to do?

1. Think about the above topic. Do you agree or disagree?
2. brainstorm on the topic
3. take your brainstorm and write a fist draft
4. when you are done, submit it.

  • write in complete sentences
  • at least 3 examples to support your ideas and explanation for each example
  • 1 of those examples should be a paraphrase from one of the articles that we have read
