Final Research Essay
I need help with a English question. All explanations and answers will be used to help me learn.
Your final paper should be between 11-12 pages. As you start writing your research paper, keep in mind that you should expect to use, at least, one source per page of text. Of those sources, at least, half need to come from the library. Library sources include Ebsco Host, ProQuest, and any other data bases you can only access on the library web site as well as books. The Works Cited page is included in your total number of pages. Use the Criteria as your guide in writing your paper. It is what I will use to grade your paper, so be sure to include each one.
1) The final paper requires 6-10 sources. 6 of those MUST BE PEER REVIEWED SOURCES. If your paper does not have those, the final draft will lose points for sources and likely for body paragraphs that are unsupported by actual research. These are, after all, research papers. If you do not have enough sources, then you should return to doing research on the data bases. Keep in mind that while government publications are authoritative, they are not peer reviewed. Keep also in mind that that blog or popular online magazine are not peer reviewed.
2) The final paper must be at least 4000 words long not counting your citation page. That is about 11-12 pages, double spaced with an acceptable 12 point font.
