I need help with a English question. All explanations and answers will be used to help me learn.

Think about a job you want that you could currently apply for. This can be an entry-level job that you hope to land after graduation, a job that is a promotion from your current job, a summer job, an on-campus job, or an internship. I want you to go find a posting for this job. This is the job that you are going to write your resume and cover for. Once you have determined what job you want to “apply” to, complete the following two activities.

1. For L5:A1 you will create and submit a cover letter in response to the job posting that you selected. Make sure to review the example cover letter (job application letter) on page 415 of the text book and review the “Cover Letter” video. I also recommend reviewing the “Writer’s Checklist: Job-Application Letter” on page 419.This activity is worth 7 points.
2. For L5:A2 you will create and submit a resume created without using templates that could be submitted with the cover letter in application to the position you selected. Make sure to review the example resume on page 403 of the text book and review the “Resume” video. I also recommend reviewing the “Writer’s Checklist: Resume” on page 419. This activity is worth 8 points.

There are specific guidelines discussed in each of the videos that you are responsible for adhering to in these activities, so make sure that you are watching the videos first! Also, both of these documents will be used for peer review in Lesson 6 and Lesson 7, so keep in mind that your classmates will be able to see any information you include. If you wish to use made up addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses in order to keep that information private, please feel free to do so! You can copy my made up information from the “Resume” video if you prefer.
