I need an explanation for this Psychology question to help me study.

Part I:

Read BSG chapter 7 and KSK chapter 4.

Take at least 20 notes (bullet pointed) over the readings, focusing on what you think are the most important parts of neighborhood theories–such as defining key terms, highlighting what the theories identify as key causes of crime, measurement issues, how neighborhood theories developed, etc. Put the author/page number the point is from next to the note.

Part II

Watch the documentary “Policing the Police” (available on PBS, https://www.pbs.org/wgbh/frontline/film/policing-the-police/) (Links to an external site.). Where in the documentary do you see specific evidence of the police utilizing neighborhood or social disorganization theories of crime? In an analytical blog post, cite at least six places in the documentary (give minute:second) where you see evidence of the police utilizing neighborhood or social disorganization theories of crime–stating which element of the theory you think each piece of evidence is illustrating. Cite the book in listing the elements of the theory you utilize. If you do not think the police are utilizing neighborhood or social disorganization theories of crime, pick one other theory of crime we have discussed so far this semester and point to six instances in the documentary which you believe support the idea that the police are operating under this theory of crime.

The analysis will be graded on the thoroughness and correctness of the analysis, its citations, and the clarity of the writing.
