I’m working on a Psychology exercise and need support.

you must perform a toy inventory of 30 toys (15 from the “girls” section

and 15 from the “boys” section, without a physical store you’ll need to search toys you

would’ve typically found in each section). Your inventory must include: (1) the name of the

toy and (2) a brief description of the toy.

3. Write at least a 2.5-3 page report that answers the below questions (90 points).

For each of the below questions compare what you find for boys’ vs. girls’ toys

• What types of toys are in each section (active, cognitive, violent, domestic, etc.)?
• What qualities or characteristics do the toys model for children?
• What impact might these toys have on boys and girls at a young age?
• What type of jobs/roles are the toys preparing children for when they become adults?
• What do the boys’ toys tell us about violence and masculinity?
• What do the girls’ toys tell us about femininity as it relates to beauty, fashion, sexuality, and
consumption?
