Since forever there have been numerous great leaders like President Washington, Gandhi,
Margaret Thatcher, President Lincoln, Bill Gates, Nelson Mandela, and even Hitler just to give
some example. Every last one of the individuals had a vision and additionally a clear direction.
They were able to communicate their vision and influence others in their quest. Anybody can be
a leader, yet a good leader is mindful, they are visionary, they are center around their direction,
and they are committed. As in any business, one must be able to lead through uncertainty and
disturbance just as have the capability to land on their feet and push ahead regardless of what the
circumstance present (Thompson, 2011). As Abraham Lincoln quoted “The best way to predict
your future is to create it” (Quotes Of The Week, 2018).
Sam Walton, the founder of the greatest retailer stores in the United States, Wal-Mart, did
just that. Mr. Walton son Rob Walton stated that “his father did not embark to run the biggest
retailer stores in the United States, he simply needed to offer some incentive to customers, make
a great work environment for his employees, and be a positive force in the communities he called
home” (Bergdahi, (2006). Mr. Walton was a humble man who enjoyed working in retail. He
had the ability to truly formulate his vision from his ten rules and a feeling of significance for
himself and other’s people, and he had the skillsets to take advantage of the most profound assets
of inventiveness and passion of his employees. Mr. Walton had a favorite rule which was to
“break all the rules.” Mr. Walton was not only a successful leader, but he also a mentor and a
supporter of people and tended to remunerate a differentiate set of aptitudes, inventively adjusted
towards one result.

In this competitive world today, it is crucial for leaders to have good leadership skills for
both their personal and professional development. What makes a good leader? The answer
varies on who and what the leader is leading. Some believe leaders are born while others believe
they are made, and then there are those that believe it a combination of both.

Rule 2: Share your profits with all your associates and treat them as partners.
Rule 3: Motivate your partners and do not become too predictable.
