Term papers will be graded on the basis of objective and substantive content and NOT on your opinions or subjective remarks. Directions for the term paper will explain what is required of you, in terms of what I am looking for in your paper. Your paper is expected to be logically consistent, legible, relevant, and meeting all objectives for the Gordon Rule. Successful completion of the paper is determined by the extent that you meet these benchmarks.
Students are to prepare a paper on some subject relevant to American Governmentin which you take a position and then attempt to defend it using scholarly research. You must select an approved topic by the due date as specified in the syllabus; I will speak to you individually to ensure that you have selected a suitable topic. Term paper must be no less than 1500 words in length. Points will be deducted for misspellings and grammatical errors.
