Analyzing Best Practices and Implementation
In this module, you were introduced to the Framework for K-12 Science Education and its goals.
You learned about the framework’s three major dimensions: Science and engineering practices,
crosscutting concepts, and disciplinary core ideas. You considered the need for more inquirybased tasks in science instruction and the importance of both information and science literacy.
For this assignment, you will research best practices in science instruction, complete
observations in a school’s science classrooms, and compare your observations to best
practices.
