Multimodal Remix + Reflective Writing (Due in the Final Weeks of the Semester) Does Technology Makes Us More Alone? Everyone in the United States adopts new technology; hence the project’s “Technology makes us more alone” audience is the whole of the American population. This is because all Americans adopt a given technology that impacts their lives in different manners. The use of technology encourages sedentary life where people spend more time on their phones at their homes (Thulin & Vilhelmson, 2019). This discourages physical, social interaction among people making them more alone. Through technology, shopping is also done online, and products are delivered at one’s doorstep, which means there is no need to visit the mall where an individual can interact with others. This also makes people more alone. Other than writing, the best way to reach this audience is to create a visual PowerPoint, including pictures to present to the audience through appropriate channels that can reach all across the country. I will choose to use PowerPoint because it is easier to create and understand. Also, the alternating from slide to slide with information makes it easier to present the points. I will decorate the project using pictures alongside the slides since I am good at finding images. To create a PowerPoint for my project is hard because I only got the basic idea of how it is done at the moment. In my head, I will use PowerPoints with more images or videos in the slides since I think the audience is not willing to read many words but to see images or videos. Presenting a project using more images than words is the best way to present my project.
