Paper: Case Studies Please briefly read through all of the 12 ethical cases in Handbook on Ethical Issues in Anthropology compiled by Cassell and Jacobs at the American Anthropological Association website. Read the case studies carefully, choose 1 case and write a 1-page summary answering the questions provided below. Some of the situations occurred with anthropologists in the field while other situations were circumstances that involved colleagues. Upload your paper into the drop box provided on Brightspace. Did you agree or disagree with the decision the anthropologist made. Why or why not? How does your own enculturation or personal bias affect how you came to your conclusion and how you viewed the case? Why are case studies important to anthropological study and improve research? Paper must be at least 1 page in length, and no more than 2 pages. Use 12 font., times new roman, all margins 1 “. Double space all text. REMEMBER: use specific ethnographic material to support general statements. Without specific examples, the best score you can receive is a C+. Paper must include an introduction with a thesis statement and a conclusion. Avoid using direct quotes. Paraphrase information and cite text used. GRADING CRITERIA: Follow paper requirements as stated above. Overall organization of the paper and the clarity in the presentation of the analysis. Extant of thoughtful, insightful, and creative analysis. Correct, spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Proofread your papers.
