· “The Enemy,” by Pearl Buck shows the reader that there are moments in life when we have to make hard choices between our role as private individuals and as citizens with a sense of national loyalty. Do some research into historical accounts of foreign occupation (e.g., Nazi occupation in European countries) or wartime accounts of individuals who risked their own lives or personal freedom to save the lives of their “enemies.”  Your research paper should present at least three such examples and reference at least THREE outside sources correctly documented both in the body of your paper and on the Works Cited page.
