The sculptures are of chinese origins and date back to the Tang Dynasty. The Tang Dynasty was an imperial dynasty ruling China from 618 to 907, this time period is regarded as a golden age of arts and culture. The sculptor’s name is not featured in the exhibit, but the description says that the guardians are meant to be placed at an entrance way, with one on either side. The sculptors feature two women dressed in warrior armor and clothing. The sculptor is earth toned due to the terrocotta
