For this paper, you will choose an advertisement from any time period. I chose the got milk advertisement. You will look at this advertisement critically and break down its details to form an argument. This argument(your central thesis) may be one of several concepts. You may argue that this image is successful or unsuccessful in its attempt to convince its audience. You could also argue for the merit or lack thereof in the creator’s choices. No matter your angle of persuasion, you must address the rhetorical situation: context, purpose, and audience. You must also address at least two examples of rhetorical appeals(ethos, pathos, logos). Use visual rhetorical terminology such as tone, arrangement, location, scale, typography, and color. Overall, you are attempting to make a case for your interpretation of the advertisement that wins your reader over. This is a critical and interpretive essay, using the classical argument structure and rhetorical approach. Must have a title, 750 words and in MLA format. One secondary source with correct in-text citations and a works cited page. Must include your advertisment somewhere in your essay
