MINIMUM: 700-750 words Because you have taken this sociology class and have a budding “sociological imagination” many others may lack, the US Congress has requested you to write an 700-750 word report explaining the benefits of immigration to American society. Remember, your audience is a group of people whose goal is to see the United States maintain its strong global position. Focus on the economic and non-economic aspects of immigration as well as other demographic trends (fertility, mortality, global comparisons with other industrialized) to strengthen your arguments. Please use the assigned readings + three additional articles. Failure to do so will result in a lower grade. Support your arguments with facts and recent data and keep the report technical with no extraneous emotional appeals and language. Tables and figures are not a part of the 700-750 world limit.
