I have added pages from the book to answer the first question- Professor summary is also added to pages 1-2 of attachment, I have highlighted the area that talks about the topic I choose (noted below)- Just need to expand. if you have any other recomendations im ok with that also. Book used for class is on page *What is the most concerning of the issues? (page 4 and 5) of document/also see highlighted area on page 2) Claim vs Care, Quality of care is struggling due to the stressed importance to clinical staff in regards to items that affect dollars and less on the quality of care provided to the patient. *What is solvable? (the pages from the book for this subject included in the attachment/pg 5-6): Getting through the current state of flux- moving from paper to electronic process.- by developing processes, letting go of old way, and automating forms. We are nowhere close to a paperless system, however, I feel this topic is a solvable one as technology improves. *Which do not seem solvable? ( the pages from the book for this subject included in slides page 6-7) HIPAA with improved/automated and avalibility of EHR (electronic health record tech) technology, comes such as mobile health technology data breaches as well as system issues delaying care or violating patient HIPAA also causing revenue hits.
