A literature review is a survey of scholarly sources related to your topic. You will critically engage with the sources you select and position your project vis-à-vis these sources. This is not an exercise in summarizing the sources; you need to extract the parts that are relevant to your project and compare them to what the other pertinent sources say about the topic. You should also explain how your project contributes to existing literature.
