Case Study Assignment | Online Assignment
To complete a creative and thorough case study of a local or regional science center (see the elaboration of what classifies a science center below) that contains many of the following research components:
YOU MUST INCLUDE AT LEAST THE FOLLOWING:
1) Purpose/goals of the *center
2) How the public interacts with the center? 3) Why is the center there?
4) What is its history?
5) Significance to the region
6) Any additional information your group determines is important to include 7) Include sources of information using APA or MLA format.
Presentation: This will be handed in a ‘dropbox’ under the Content tab on Blackboard. You will create a dynamic presentation in the form of a movie, a keynote (or PowerPoint, Google slides, etc.), or a Prezi – perhaps even a website if you’re so inclined.
*Definition of Science Center: Any private or public area that has a science theme or focus, including some or any of the following:
A park
Fossil Site
Organic Farm
Power Plant Steam/Valley/Gorge Wind Farm
Beach
Museum Planetarium Sand Dunes Weather Station Zoo
Botanical Garden nature preserve Pond
Science Center Wetlands
The presentation should be 12-15 slides with a mix of multimedia slides obviously. It may be helpful to imagine that you are the P.R. manager of your chosen center, and you want to get the public excited about your venue.
