• The purpose of this term paper is to:

• For this assignment, I have provided a list of potential papers to read (see canvas). HOWEVER, you do NOT HAVE to pick one of these. Please feel free to find one on your own that you find interesting! I recommend reading something from the journals “Nature” or “Science” because those are normally written for more general audiences. It can be new or old!
• How the paper will be graded:
  • Is the student’s paper approximately 1200 words (approximately 3 pages double spaced)?
  • Does the student’s paper contain all the proper citations (e.g. do they reference the paper they chose and any other supplementary information)?
  • Did the student clearly outline the question(s) the paper they read is(are) trying address?
  • Did the student clearly describe the methods discussed in the paper they read?
  • Did the student evaluate the methods used and discuss why or why not the proposed methods seemed appropriate?
  • Did the student evaluate the conclusions of the paper?
  • Did the student talk about why the paper they chose is important and how it can be applied to better understand nature?
