Conduct a critical analysis of that theory and writing an APA-format research paper. In your introduction, briefly summarize the theory and explain how it applies to human development. You may need to look at various articles and sources to fully answer this question. Based on your research, explain what the strengths of this theory are – in other words, how is this theory supported and useful today. Based on your research, explain the limitations of this theory – how is this theory criticized? What does the current research say about the validity and applicability of this theory? Discuss the implications of the findings – why was this theory important when it was or how is it important today. Conduct research to explore how the theory has been applicable to development in one other country other than the United States. Explain how the theory has been applied/used or maybe completely rejected in that culture/country and explain why. Conclude your thoughts: what was your discovery, why was this personally meaningful to you, and how you could possibly use this knowledge. Make sure you include the necessary citations and references in the correct APA format (use the library resources if you are unfamiliar with this format). You must use a minimum of four references in addition to your textbook. Your paper must include the following components all of which must be in the correct APA format: 1. Title Page with your name, title of your paper, institution, running head, and page number (please note the header on the title page is different from the header on all other pages). 2. Abstract: a 300-400-word summary of your entire paper. (Hint: include this as the second page of your paper but write it last once you have already completed your paper – it will be much easier because you are simply summarizing what is in your paper) 3. Body: use appropriate headings for your paper and include the responses to the above 6 questions/requirements. This section should be approximately 3-4 double-space, 12-point, Times New Roman, pages. 4. References – must be in the appropriate APA format. You must use a minimum of four references in addition to your textbook. Make sure you include proper in-text citations throughout your paper. Go to: Library Databases Then find Psychology Databases under subject Choose either ‘Proquest’ or ‘Academic Search Premier’ Under this database, you will be able to find an article of your interest: search by keywords but make sure it is an empirical article.
